Save

It all started in 2013 when...

We saw a documentary showing the euthanizing of healthy dogs and puppies in kill shelters in the Southern USA.

We looked at our own precious dog, harley and our darling kitty, Percy and decided there and then that we have to do something to save them!

A four day Best Friends conference gave us all we needed to get going and to feel that we are definitely not alone in this quest, to turn the USA into a no kill nation.

First we have to save them by stopping the birth of unwanted puppies and kittens. Secondly we have make sure those saved and in rescue are given medical care and love to thrive and thirdly find loving, happy forever homes for all these precious souls.

As we are based in Rhode Island our first objective was to give exposure to RI shelter dogs who were getting very little interest from families wanting to adopt. We also wanted to bring dogs and puppies from kill shelters in the south up to RI to find homes. Most people want to adopt now, so we want to make that easier for them. We have partnered with many Southern rescues and they bring dogs to our Super Dog Adoption days. See Adopt for all the info about our Adoption events.

We will soon begin our research into helping accelerate spay/neuter programs in the South.
